HARLEY GORDMAN
About Me
Originally from Omaha, NE, I am a proud graduate of Millard North High School and earned my Finance degree from Arizona State University. My career began in healthcare recruitment, where I found my passion for helping families navigate the complex world of senior care.
With years of experience as a nurse recruiter, specializing in the geriatric division, I’ve worked closely with long-term care (LTC), assisted living, and memory care communities. My role involved sourcing, screening, and placing qualified caregivers, which directly contributed to reducing Nurse-to-Patient ratios and ensuring that residents receive the personalized care they deserve.
A deeply personal experience caring for my grandfather during his health challenges inspired me to focus on ensuring every family has access to compassionate, high-quality care. This journey opened my eyes to the difficulties many families face when finding the right resources and care for their aging loved ones. I understand how overwhelming it can be to navigate the senior living landscape while managing work, family, and other responsibilities. That’s why CareMATRIX and I am here – to support you through the process and lighten the load. Together, we can help you find peace of mind knowing your loved ones are in good hands.
Certifications & Training
I’ve received specialized training and certification from the Alzheimer’s Association, which equips me with the latest evidence-based, person-centered practices to care for individuals living with dementia. My training covers five essential areas: understanding Alzheimer’s and dementia, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, daily living activities, and effective communication with those experiencing dementia-related behaviors.
